Instructions to make Apple Roses ๐น:
- Wash and cut the unpilled apples, removing the core.
- Place apple slices in a bowl and pour 3 teaspoons lemon juice, cover with water and cook in microwave for 3 minutes on high heat. Remove, drain out water and let it cool.
- Roll out the pastry on a floured surface, and cut into strips, +/- 6 strips. Spread the jam on the strips and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- On each strip, place the apple slices to cover top half of the strip, overlapping the slices.
- Roll the other half of the strip to cover the apple slices slightly. Then carefully roll in the strip together with the apple to a Rose Shape.
- Place the Rose Shapes in a greased muffin tin and bake at 180 degrees centigrade for about 30 to 35 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Serve hot or cold with ice cream or vanilla custard.
