  1. Wash varagu arisi thoroughly 4 times and keep aside. - Wash moong dal and keep aside. - Boil milk and water.. In a cooker or cooker pan, dry roast moong dal till golden brown and a nice aroma comes.

Since pongal is around the corner, i was thinking what new pongal to make for this year. I had little kodo millet sitting in the pantry for quite sometime. Millet's provides so many health benefits to us compared to regular rice. Hence we can replace rice with Millet's wherever possible. I have used Varagu (Kodo millet) to make this Pongal.
